Avoid Business Sabotage by Engaging in Self Improvement
It is no coincidence that many of the most accomplished business men and women have been influenced by some kind of self improvement book. Successful business people will tell you straight out that their success is based on a good strategy - not dumb luck or coincidence. They will also tell you that an important part of their strategy is constantly working on improving themselves and their mind. When you observe what you do from a different perspective, it can often help when you have come to a point where you are no longer moving forward. Keep a little notebook handy and write down any thoughts that automatically come to mind that have to do with your business. Especially be aware of any limiting thoughts and look for a pattern. If at all possible, make a very objective list of your business behaviors. It's not unusual to find the answer to your problem right in front of you.
If you are the type of person described as a perfectionist, then you probably realize that about your self. Very basically, there is some underlying fear of possibly making mistakes, being criticized or generally looking less than some part of you desires. If you are like this, then you understand the havoc that can be wreaked upon a business. If the need arises for making certain kinds of strategic decisions, then the perfectionist often will experience anxiety. What you will see is procrastination when it comes to delivering on time. What can be done about the perfectionist behavior will depend on whether or not the person feels it is a problem. If there is one thing that can cause problems with your net business it must be spreading out efforts too thin. We admit that there is a certain amount of excitement with variety, but it will always be an ineffective approach with business on the web. You have to narrow your actions to making one thing work at a time. There is huge value in being dedicated in your efforts while remaining focused. But doing so means you have to be willing to change your approach. No need to worry whether or not this is possible because it really is more than possible.
There is a tremendous amount of negative energy in just about all forms in the world. Take, for example, the news. What sells the most or attracts people's attention? Not the "feel good" stories, but the bad new. This is true whether it's on television or in your local newspaper. Along with this, you may hear more negative opinions and comments from the people you know. These kinds of comments, whatever they are, most often will be expressing a limit, or restriction, to something. It's not unusual, for example, to always find one person in the crowd who is habitually negative, no matter what is being discussed. You will be a lot happier if you simply avoid any form of negativity that you find in your life. You, and your business, with both benefit.
It should be obvious that the best course is to disallow any negative input into your life, whether it's from the news, the television, or other people. The possibility strongly exists that these influences, both negative and positive, have a strong impact on your business.
